RANGE garners big wins in Nevada Press Association’s annual journalism awards

The Nevada Press Association held its annual Awards of Excellence ceremony in Las Vegas on Saturday, September 24. RANGE magazine’s diverse and skillful contributors and regulars have again garnered big wins in top categories.

 

    FIRST PLACE: Explanatory Journalism

“Ill Wind in Cherry County” by Carolyn Dufurrena, Denio, Nev.

Judge’s Comment: “Thoughtful and descriptive with compelling photography.”

FIRST PLACE: Outstanding Visual Journalist

Todd Klassy, White Sulphur Springs, Mont.

Judge’s Comment: “Klassy showcased his tremendous eye for detail, creativity and use of lighting and color. His work tells a story.”
